These terms apply when a business ("you") creates a PALTAS account and uses PALTAS software, including Property Management and any other PALTAS product you subscribe to. The person who registers confirms they are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of the business.
When you register, your business gets a free trial of the product and plan you choose. The trial length is shown at sign-up and in your workspace. We do not take card details at sign-up, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. When the trial ends your workspace becomes read-only: your records are kept and you can still export them. You can choose a paid plan at any time to keep working.
Plan prices are shown on PALTAS before you choose a plan. A paid plan becomes active only once we have confirmed your payment. Plans renew for the period shown unless you cancel; a cancellation or downgrade takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Taxes are added where they apply.
Keep your password safe and use two-factor sign-in where offered. You are responsible for the people you invite to your workspace and the roles you give them. Tell us promptly at supportpaltas@gmail.com if you think your account has been used without permission.
The records you put into PALTAS — properties, tenants, contacts, leases, invoices, payments and documents — belong to your business. You decide what is recorded and why, and we process it on your behalf to provide the service, as set out in our Privacy Notice. You confirm you have the right to give us that information, including any notices or consents your tenants and contacts need under the data protection law that applies to you. Each business can only see its own records.
Do not use PALTAS to break the law, to upload anything you have no right to share, to try to access another business's records, or to disrupt or probe the service. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, and we will tell you why.
PALTAS records the payments your business receives and makes, and keeps your books. Unless a payment provider is shown as connected in your workspace, PALTAS does not collect, hold or transfer money for you.
We work to keep PALTAS available and your records safe, with regular backups. We may improve or change features; if a change significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance. We may update these terms; the version you accepted is recorded with your account, and we will tell you about material changes before they apply.
You can stop using PALTAS at any time. You can export your records while your account is active or read-only. After an account is closed we keep records only as long as the law requires, then delete them.
We provide PALTAS with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country where your business is established.
